ON MISSION TO GROW FULLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST

Connection Point started as a few families meeting in a home with the intent to dig deep roots in God’s Word, build authentic community, and share the simple gospel with the city of Conroe.

Whenever we meet, whether at worship services, weekly ministries, or online interactions, our goal is for everyone to feel encouraged and inspired by God’s word, genuinely cared for, and equipped to live out their God-given purpose.

Why? So we can grow fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ and be God’s connection points in this world.

WHO WE ARE

OUR DNA

CORE VALUES

  • Studying the Bible verse by verse, our goal is to gain a greater understanding of God's word and apply into our lives. We study to learn, learn to apply and apply to teach.

  • We embody our mission by living connected to God’s presence, purpose, and people. We make the most of where we are influencing the people for Christ.

  • We are spiritually alive through Jesus Christ’s resurrection. Each day we want to grow and live more Involved and responsive to the works of Holy Spirit.

  • We live life together. We are people passionate about developing meaningful relationships in matters of faith, family and friends.

OUR STORY

KEY MOMENTS THAT SHAPE US

  • In November 2009, the Lord placed a desire in Dane's heart to begin a new church that would reach the South Bay. His vision was of a Bible-based, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered body of believers; a healthy church family where each person was growing in their relationship with God, holding fast to the truths of God's Word, and seeking to be a people of grace. His vision was to be a difference maker to families of Torrance and the South Bay.

He began building a leadership team, networking and building relationships with people in the community. Connection Point Ministries began holding its service in Pastor Dane's home the first Sunday of June, 2010.

  • At Connection Point, we welcome people from all walks of life. Our goal is to transform communities by making the most of where we are and influencing those around us for Christ. As a church, we are passionate about coming together, using our talents for kingdom work and growing in community and God’s Word, together.

  • Connection Point is growing each week. In the midst of all this excitement, we are well aware that church health is more important than numerical growth and programs. At Connection Point we recognize that God has a specific purpose for each person. That's why we are hard at work making each family feel connected to God's presence, purpose and people.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

OUR CONVICTIONS

We welcome people from all walks of life because we are not a perfect church nor a perfect people.

If you feel you would not belong because of your history, doubts, or anger, you could not be further from the truth. We are in this together.

Our Core Beliefs and values are intended to be the basis of our actions. There will always be peripheral doctrines upon which committed followers of Christ disagree, but the Core Beliefs are Non-negotiable.

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God. There is one true God. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. All men are sinners and are in need of a Savior, Jesus Christ. Salvation is through faith in Christ, and is given by God’s grace. The Holy Spirit is given to all believers.

  • God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless, human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

  • The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He fills the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

  • The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

    References: II Timothy 1:13, 3:16; II Peter 1:20, 21; Psalm 11:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5

  • People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God, called “sin”. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

    References: Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1,2

  • Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

  • People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in unison with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
