The gospel truly is Jesus bridging the gap of separation caused by sin restoring a right, unbroken relationship with God. In Christ, we have Immanuel, God with us. May the effects of His presence transform the way we relate in terms of love and kindness with the people we come in contact with everyday that Jesus died to save.

Our passage illustrates the nature and consequences of spiritual warfare. We are to wise as serpents and harmless as doves - not willing that any should perish but that all would come to repentance. We must never water down the gospel seeking the approval of men, but live with a firm commitment to speak the truth in love that the kingdom of God may grow and expand.

Redeem the time by taking every opportunity to make things right with God. Resist the temptation to let our will override God's will or allow man's thoughts to replace God's Word as the guiding force in how we live.

Let us be people who are ready, willing, and fully surrendered to a life of repentance—constantly abandoning our way for His way. We are called to see ourselves as ministers of reconciliation, living out His purpose.

God’s grace allows us to learn from our mistakes and the mistakes of others in order to realign our steps with His.
