As Christians, we have the arduous task of balancing the idealism of everything God makes available for our past, present and future with the realism of a fallen world that daily seeks to sabotage the realization of each.  Paul reminds the Thessalonians that the wisest way to live is with eternity in mind – to maintain our undivided loyalty to what’s ahead so that we are fully equipped to glorify God in what’s at hand.
